I purchased this bed rail after I mistakenly purchased a crib rail for a regular bed. This one is SO much better. It is perfect. It prevents my daughter from falling out of bed, but there is still enough room for her to easily get out of bed if she wants. It is sturdy enough to hold her weight if she leans against it but it's also small enough that she isn't tempted to lean on it like she was the regular bed crib rail. My husband installed it in minutes and it was simple.

this is just what i was looking for! it was a perfect fit for our toddler's convertible crib. we just transitioned her from her crib to her toddler day bed (front rail comes off) and it fits great. it was easy to install. only one piece to assemble. it looks nice, fits great and made our daughter very happy. there is justn enough room for her to get in and out of bed very safely and keep her safely in her bed as well. this is a better alternative than the super expensive wooden convertible crib rails. this item is perfect for convertible cribs and affordable.

My son sleeps on the edge of crib so I knew I would need a rail once I converted the crib into a toddler bed. This rail is sturdy and very easy to assemble!! It took me less then 5 minutes to assemble and install, although the directions are not great it is pretty self explanatory. Good product for what it is, I originally bought the convertible crib thinking I would save some money not buying a toddler bed and day bed once he grew out of it so I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a rail that would only be used for a year or two. This was a great purchase for me.

Our son is 2 1/2 and it was time to convert his crib into a toddler bed. However, the crib manufacturer, Baby Cache is temporarily not selling the toddler bed rails for our crib. Babies r us sold a wooden one, but it was $80 - YIKES!!! The wood didn't even match our crib either!!! I came to Amazon and found this. When we received the toddler bed rail, it was very easy to set up. My son can now get in an out of his "big boy bed" all by himself, and we don't have to worry about him falling out.
One thing is important - you must raise the bed up 1 notch or this will not work! As long as you raise the bed up 1 level, it works perfect. I read a previous comment about that and was thankful I did!
